Welcome to south surrey
A Desirable Community
The community of South Surrey is commonly viewed as a more upscale part of the city. There is a perception of this area being cleaner and safer than North Surrey. South Surrey has many wonderful character neighbourhoods, with amazing curb appeal. The pride of ownership is evident in most areas, with well maintained homes and landscaping. Generally speaking, South Surrey has a higher socio-economic profile compared to other parts of the city.
South Surrey offers amazing coastal and mountain views. It is home to Crescent Beach, two border crossings to the United States and many wonderful parks with tall trees.
South Surrey is bound by the ocean to the west, the City of White Rock and the border to the United States of America to the south, the Township of Langley to the east, and 48 Avenue to the north.
Parks & Recreation
The parks that dot South Surrey are simply a beautiful way to connect with nature. The tall trees that make up so many of the urban forests are something to behold and enjoy. There are just so many nice parks here that there are too many to name. I suggest using the Surrey Parks webpage to use their park search tool.
South Surrey Athletic Park is a large athletic park with fun options for kids, youth and families. This park offers facilities for soccer, football, rugby, baseball, tennis, pickleball and volleyball. The park also features a variety of pathways and walking loops, a BMX bike park, a playground and a waterpark. Indoor venues nearby include South Surrey Recreation Centre and South Surrey Arena.

Also, it is worth noting that the stunning White Rock promenade and pier are relatively close by. That is also an attraction popular with locals and visitors alike.
