Welcome to Scottsdale
A Desirable North Delta Community
Scottsdale is generally considered the heart of North Delta, bordered by 112th St to the West, 84th Ave to the North, Scott Road (120th St) to the East and 72nd Ave. to the South. A high percentage of Scottsdale was built out in the 1970’s. Young families were attracted to the homes in the area that were built on large lots. Strata properties emerged since the 1990’s and choices include 3-4 storey apartment condos, recently built concrete highrises, family-oriented complexes and generously sized townhomes. Condos and townhouses are generally located in and around Scott Road, the commercial corridor.
Relative affordability, greenery and a short commute to Vancouver continue to make the Scottsdale Neighbourhood a desirable place to live, especially for families. Parks are nicely scattered across Scottsdale, in North Delta. This makes finding walking trails, playgrounds and sports fields easy. Scottsdale Centre Mall, anchored by Walmart and Save-on-Foods, is a focal point of everyday shopping needs, at the corner of 72nd Ave and Scott Road. Scott Road provides all other usual shopping, services and dining needs, in an easy to access manner. Transit and commuting is easy, with access to major routes generally just blocks away. For example, Nordel Way, 72nd Ave and Scott Road are key access points in the Scottsdale Neighbourhood.
Overall, an investment in a home in North Delta’s Scottsdale neighbourhood has proven to be a winner over time. It is a generally stable and steady market. This makes sense since the community has been established for decades, is centrally located with good commuting links, is clean and safe, offers nice schools and parks and is always popular with families.
