
Overview
The community of Cloverdale in Surrey, BC is a very charming area that is a blend of vibrant farms, rural acreages, established single family neighbourhoods and newer subdivisions. Cloverdale has seen rapid housing development in the past decade, along with a huge influx of young families.
Location
Cloverdale is situated in the central eastern part of Surrey. Highway 15, the Pacific Highway, cuts through the centre of Cloverdale running north-south. This highway connects Cloverdale to Hwy 1 and also Hwy 17 (South Fraser Perimeter Road). Cloverdale is also only minutes to the US-Canada Pacific Truck Crossing Border to the South.
Parks
The main park in Cloverdale has to be the Cloverdale Athletic Park on the corner of 64th Ave and 168 Street. The artificial turf fields are home to Surrey United Soccer Club and the Cloverdale Football Association. It is always busy with activity of youth sports leagues on evenings and weekends. The park also has several baseball diamonds, a lacrosse box, tennis courts, playground, water spray park and a wide open range of grass fields. It has nice paved walking paths through the park as well. There is so much going on at this park and it is great for kids and their families. Cloverdale Athletic Park truly is a recreational gem in Surrey.
Cloverdale has many other smaller parks as well; too many to name. Like other parts of the city, escaping into a park is easy to do in Cloverdale.
Recreation
The Cloverdale Fairgrounds also sees a lot of activity. It is home to a modern recreation centre facility, along with ice arena and curling rink. There is also a horse race track with casino as well. The fairgrounds is also the site of the annual Canada Day celebration festival in Surrey, complete with fireworks. It is a marquee event in Surrey.

Cloverdale has seen explosive growth in housing development and population growth in the past decade. It is especially attractive to younger people and families seeking relative affordability.
