Online Era of Property Sales?

Yet another article touting a new era in online property sales, below.  Although, I agree that innovations will take place in how properties may be showcased (i.e. virtual tours further advanced), there are already virtual ways properties are being marketed.  For example, it's common to see 3-D tours, video walk-throughs, professional photography and sometimes even aerial drone footage in property listings.

However, I don't believe there is any substitute for in-person viewings and inspections of what is almost always the largest asset purchase in a person's lifetime.  The only way to get a true picture and full 360 degree overview of a home and property, is by using your live senses.  The pandemic will be with us for some time, and will alter the way properties are viewed and transacted.  But this may be transitory until market participants can get back to the more traditional ways of on-site viewings and inspections.
