Homeowners in British Columbia whose property is assessed at a value at just under $2 million will still be eligible for the annual homeowner grant.

The BC Government states that the increased threshold means that 92% of residential homeowners will be eligible for the basic grant.  The basic grant, for those who own and live in their home in the Fraser Valley, is valued at $570, with an additional grant amount of $845 for those over age 65 or with a disability.

The 2022 property assessments are now live on BC Assessment's website https://www.bcassessment.ca/.

Their interactive assessment summary map shows what has been widely reported on throughout 2021, that single-family home values have been on fire across the Fraser Valley.  BC Assessment is reporting that the typical single-family home has risen in value as of July 1, 2021 (versus the year prior) as follows:

DELTA - up 31%

SURREY - up 32%

LANGLEY - up 31%
